THE CUSTOMER
130 KFC restaurants in Romania. BITSOFT has been serving them since 2011.
Their existing solution had no connection with the outside world, a local Oracle Micros POS connected only to reporting tools and a stock management system.
The project was to move all 130 KFC restaurants to a 360° solution that is complete and connected
THE CHALLENGE
Integrate an ecosystem with BREEZE and Oracle so that it is highly operational and functional whatever the entry points.
It was important to deploy 130 sites with no impact on operations.BITSOFT, who distributes Oracle in Romania, handled the entire project
APPROACH
Setting up a laboratory at KFC to validate the functionalities and the version, then piloting the target solution on site for several weeks. Once the test had been validated by KFC and BITSOFT, BITSOFT began deployment. This took place over 1 year.
SOLUTION
BITSOFT deployed an ecosystem consisting of the Micros POS, Oracle stock management, YUM mobile app and e-commerce solutions, Acrelec kiosks for order-taking and drive-through, and interfaces with third-party systems (Glovo delivery, Tazz, production machine, etc.), together with BREEZE delivery and loyalty modules and the Call Centre. Breeze acting as the Orchestrator for all deployed solutions. One central configuration system delivering information for mobile app, eCommerce, kiosk and POS system
RISKS
Carrying out an end-to-end project involving a heterogeneous architecture that meets KFC group standards and whose various partners also have competing modules, similar to those, in the BREEZE Suite
VALUE ANALYSIS
This project has enabled KFC to boost its sales, after deploying an “e-commerce, mobile application, ordering, delivery and click&collect ecosystem.
